I was very productive yesterday. I set-up a couple of new bank accounts, applied for some credit cards (apparently you need them for stuff), worked out a func spec and roadmap for a client, went to the market for fresh produce, cooked dinner, cleaned the kitchen, went grocery shopping at the big supermarket, and even squeezed in a Drupal installation for my freelance web development site.
Dinner was excellent. I made blackened tilapia with a side of purple green beans and baby red potatoes sautéed with a couple pieces of bacon. The green beans were very tasty, but they turned green during the cooking process, except for the seeds, which were a sort of purplish grey. I don't know that they are worth the extra money if they aren't going to stay purple when cooked.
I still haven't made it to the art museum. I'll probably go on Tuesday. Tomorrow is First Friday, which is when a lot of the Old City galleries have their public openings and stay open late. It takes place on the first Friday of each month, hence the name. I usually go. I've been usually going for over 10 years now. How time flies.
There typically isn't much to see in the summer, because the art world vacations at the beach. Fall is when things get interesting. I went last month, but it was too hot and muggy, so I headed home after visiting only 2 or 3 places. They are saying it is likely to be hot and muggy tomorrow also. I hate that so much. I am not a fan of hot and muggy weather, and I am certainly not a fan of hot and muggy weather in October. I should be wearing a windbreaker on a day like today. But it's hot. Maybe I should see if there's a sale on windbreakers. It can't be hot forever.
Can it?
