I took it easy today and worked a mere nine hours. I've been working 14-hour days on average lately. I usually start working on something around 8:30 or 9 AM and keep right on going until 11:30 PM or 12:30 AM. There are some breaks for food and walks and such, but not many. It occurred to me that this may not be the healthiest thing, so I'm backing off a bit.
I put some new photos up tonight. They're not so great, but there's a little something to them worth looking at. One of them is called Suicide Note. This is just a title — so relax. I grant you the titles are a bit ominous when taken as a group, but they're just titles. My titles and their meanings tend to be idiosyncratic and meaningful only to me.
You Hardly Occur to Me Now refers to Stacy, who I have almost completely erased from my memory. There's a bird on the wire. She has a way with rescuing birds and nurturing them back to health. I'll forget that soon. I've made a point of it.
She Won't Be There; She Never Is is about Peggy. She's my honorary little sister. She used to live next to the train station, but she moved back to York. York isn't really that far, but it's world's away all the same. Apparently they have a lot of sushi places there. I tried sushi again tonight and decided that I really liked it. Well, not the salmon so much, but the tuna and eel were tops. It's hard to eat eel and not think of that scene in The Tin Drum.
I Knew You Wouldn't Come, But I Figured I'd Ask Anyway is about this coming Friday.
