Problem

Views Data Export returns a CSV file with headers but no data rows, even though the view the VDE it is attached to is returning results as expected. Drupal further reports an error Unable to find term: all.

Fix

This can happen when the basic view and its attached VDE view contain filter fields that do not match exactly. The error Unable to find term: all is associated with taxonomy fields, but all of your filters should match between views or you're likely to have trouble. In the case of taxonomy filter exports, you want to check in settings to make certain dropdown fields are paired with dropdown fields and autocomplete fields with autocomplete fields.
