You See the Same Things Every Day
You might think you see the same things day in and day out for years upon years. But that's only kind of true. Sure, it's all the same tree on the corner, dented street sign, smokey dive bar, and cluttered cubicle. Those things are all pretty much the same wherever you go. They are abstractions. But each and every mundane thing is always a little different from moment to moment. The same old wall you've been staring at for years is never really the same from one blink to the next. Not if you look at how you look at things.
