Free to Be Me... You and Me was the first album I can recall my parents buying for me, but they really bought it for themselves, because they wanted me to like it and imprint lessons on my infant mind about the value of sharing and whatnot. The first album I can remember being mine—because I begged my parents for it—was a Billy Joel 45 of Movin' Out. I've been ahead of the curve since I was a small.
