Putting It Altogether
For a couple years now I have halfheartedly struggled with learning to play guitar. It's difficult for me as I have no natural talent for it. I don't practice enough either. I was working my way through a few books, but they were a grind and nothing was sticking, so I figured I'd mix things up a little and picked up a couple new books from Ted's new shop around the corner. This evening I spent some quality time going through Hal Leonard's Guitar Method Book 1 and made it more than halfway through in under an hour. (I believe I mentioned my lack of any natural talent.) I don't know what's different about this book than the others, but suddenly it's sticking, and I'm starting to pick up reading sheet music.
