On the Contents of My Freezer
Something in my freezer smells funky. No, that's not exactly correct. My freezer smells funky as a whole. No individual item in the freezer actually smells outright. I know this for certain, because I've taken everything out of the freezer, item by item, and given each and every one a good sniffing. The breakdown is as follows:
- 4 @ 2"x2" silicone ice cube trays filled with ice. No noticeable smell.
- 2 unopened bags of Wegman's brand frozen organic super sweet corn. No noticeable smell.
- 1 family pack of cleaned wild-caught shrimp (product of U.S.A.). No noticeable smell.
- 5 individually packaged wild-caught Mahi-Mahi filets. No noticeable smell.
- 1 @ 20 pack of La Banderita flour tortillas. No noticeable smell.
- 1/2 loaf of formerly fresh-baked bread. No noticeable smell.
- 7 oz. Applegate Organics roasted turkey breast. No noticeable smell.
- 1/2 Cup quinoa. No noticeable smell.
- Numerous partial bags of various types of rice. No noticeable smell.
- 1 pound organic unsweetened butter. Smells a little funky, but not bad or soured.
- 1 Nikon SB-700 camera flash box full of assorted batteries. No noticeable smell.
- 12 rolls of exposed film, assorted brands, ISO, and sizes. No noticeable smell.
- 3 rolls of unexposed FujiFilm 400 ISO 35mm color film. No noticeable smell.
I suppose the freezer is overdue for a thorough cleaning anyway.
