Ice Cream and Updates
On Friday, I had my first ice cream since February. I was shocked at how unimpressed I was. I'm talking top-tier, name-brand creamery product, too. It was tasty enough, but I can take it or leave it, which is quite a change. Previously, it took an act of considerable will to prevent me from eating an entire pint in a single sitting. I guess my palette has shifted with my change in diet. I'll talk about that some other time. Right now, I want to address the mailing list issue.
I'm told by some people that my mailing list emails are landing in their spam folders. The service I use to manage the mailing list is supposed to ensure such things happen less often, but can't prevent it entirely. If you see a message from the mailing list in your junk folder, you can try telling your email application it's not spam and then add the address to your contacts. That usually works. I can't tell you exactly how to do either of those things, because the various email apps and services all have slightly different ways to go about it.
For those who can't (or won't) make a mailing list work, I've set up @OblivionSitting on Twitter. You can follow that account for updates and submit feedback if you want. @OblivionSitting is intended to serve as a public channel for this blog. I don't expect to follow anyone back or involve myself in current events outside the scope of SittingInOblivion.com. I have another account for that, but I don't use it often. I find society's internal dialogue depressing. But who knows? Maybe I'll change my mind.
If neither of these options fits your lifestyle, there's an RSS feed available, too. You seem like an RSS feed type of person anyhow.
