They Grow Up So Fast, She Says

The woman in front of me in line is lamenting to her friend that children grow up too fast these days. She is here for coffee and a nosh while her 10-year-old daughter is down the street getting a French manicure. Personally, I don't know of many 10-year-olds who can afford candy, let alone a manicure. Not having any kids of my own, I don't know for sure, but I suspect if kids are growing up too fast, someone in this room may well be enabling it.
